Giving Kids a Strong Start

Studies have found fewer than half of children from low-income households are kindergarten ready at age 5 compared with 75% of children from high socioeconomic-status households (Brookings, 2012). We believe every child deserves a fair chance in life, and this begins with quality, early education.

We prepare our youngest learners by offering a TK program across the Camino Nuevo network, aligned with the K-12 instructional model and linked to network goals. Caring and highly-trained instructors create rich opportunities for children to develop core competencies in literacy, cognitive development, and socioemotional learning, while our bilingual program supports dual language learners. Children make significant gains across core developmental domains and develop a foundation for kindergarten and future academic success.

Get Involved

It costs about $6,100 to give a child a quality preschool education, but public dollars cover only a portion of the total costs. For families of limited means, we rely on the help of friends and supporters to close the gap. By giving to The Preschool Fund, we can ensure more children — especially the most disadvantaged — have access to early, quality education. Make a meaningful gift today and give more kids the strongest possible start in school and in life.
