Giving Kids a Strong Start

We believe every child deserves a fair chance in life, and this begins with quality, early education. Since 2004, Camino Nuevo Charter Academy has given hundreds of 4-year-olds the opportunity to attend preschool. Located in the MacArthur Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, the Camino Nuevo Early Childhood Campus uses a research-based, play-based curriculum to help the most vulnerable children start kindergarten ready to learn.

Children who attend our 5-star accredited bilingual program not only do better in school as they grow older, they are also more likely to go to college and get a good job. Yet only half of low-income children in the state attend preschool. For the other half, preschool is too expensive or too far away from home. We believe all children deserve the same opportunities.

Get Involved

It costs about $6,100 to give a child a quality preschool education, but public dollars cover only a portion of the total costs. For families of limited means, we rely on the help of friends and supporters to close the gap. By giving to The Preschool Fund, we can ensure more children — especially the most disadvantaged — have access to early, quality education. Make a meaningful gift today and give more kids the strongest possible start in school and in life.
